40710-56 Sprenger MAX CONTROL / DANGER BIT - Loose ring

£63.50

Description

The MAX-Control is a double-jointed bit which, at a first glance, cannot be distinguished from other double-jointed loose ring snaffles.

However, it is a correction or training bit which locks at a certain angle and thus becomes a straight bar.

The bit lies very well in the mouth when the horse is working properly. When the horse opposes the rider's hand the more intensive rigid effect occurs.

Please note size 4.5" is made in a 14mm thickness and all other larger sizes are made in a 16mm thickness

Customer Reviews

Average customer rating:

My horse was trained on a very harsh shank bit by his pevious owner. When we switched him to a d-ring snaffle for showing we found ourselves fist-fighting with him just to get him to halt. We were at a show this weekend and popped into a mobile tack shop on the grounds. The woman there let us try it out and we instantly fell in love. Our score went from a 57% the previous day to a 63.3%. No more plowing through halts and the lightness he now has is truely amazing. You can actually feel when the bit "locks" for correction. I LOVE THE DANGER BIT! If I could give it a 10 I would.

I changed to this bit and it has made a massive difference - I tried numerous bits before I tried this one, and I was amazed at the difference it made. I think this bit is great and I would recommend to anyone - the horse is very light and responsive with it.
