I read a lot of reviews on other sites about this bit and I suppose there was a lot of mixed opinions.
Jodie recommended I try it for my very tall draft horse who has no brakes when either he's spooked or out hunting.
I have had 3 sessions with it now. A lesson in the indoor, a hack and a good fast cross country run.
I think it's fab! Horse seems to really like it and I have some brakes. So far so good. It's beautifully constructed, really quite light. I am delighted to have found something at last that is effective.

Just a belated note to other riders.
I used this bit on my Anglo Arab for about 10 years - it was absolutely fab, I have light hands, but he was aware that we had brakes.
