Snaffle Curbgag

Our Snaffle mouthpiece is popular due to the curved mouthpiece which distributes pressure more evenly over tongue and bars. With the offset centre link it will reduce nutcracker action and pressure points on the tongue.

The Curb Gag is a new addition to Bombers, this cheek piece uses the concept of a Rope gag and instead of using that pressure to apply poll it is used to apply curb pressure, from the second/bottom rein, although poll is not removed as there is a similar action to the Portuguese/Ring or Drop/Hanging cheek on the bit/top rein. A ring can be added to the bottom to create more poll pressure.

All our bits are made from blue sweet iron, because it:

• oxidises easily
• encourages salivation
• helps bit acceptance
• is warm and sweet

Please note the blue will fade with use.

Please Note, A Curb Gag is designed to be used with two reins, incase of failure to the nylon part. This is also a ruling with Britsh Eventing.
